During several extended stays in Mauritius since 2022, I came to realise how urgently there is a need for a safer, more harmonious and sustainable coexistence of humans and animals. With an estimated 300,000 stray animals, the safety of the population is sometimes seriously threatened — and at the same time, the lives of many strays are at great risk through accidents, abuse, abandonment or poisoning.

Instead of simply donating or signing petitions, I wanted to commit personally and offer a variety of ways to bring humans and animals closer together.

Many people in Mauritius care for their pets responsibly — even under difficult circumstances. Yet a large part of the population still lacks awareness about responsible pet ownership and species-appropriate care. That is exactly where I wish to educate, support and inspire — with heart, knowledge and energy.

Through professional services and dedicated educational efforts, I aim to raise awareness for respectful and responsible treatment of animals.

I am convinced that animals deserve to be treated and respected as members of the family — because, like us, they need food, safety, care, attention and love.

These convictions — and the desire to help both people and animals directly on site — led to the founding of GINKGOLIVE Ltd. at the end of 2025.
